F1Fresh — a Sports Drama standout

Apple's first genuine box office hit. Brad Pitt stars as a washed-up Formula One driver coaxed back for one last season, and Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) shoots the racing with the same you-are-in-the-cockpit immediacy. Opened to $144M worldwide — Apple Studios' biggest opening ever.

What works is authenticity. Real F1 footage, real drivers in supporting roles, real cars at real speeds. Pitt, at 61, is more charismatic here than he's been in a decade. The script is formulaic — you can call every beat — but the execution is so confident you won't care.

Verdict: The best sports movie of 2025 and one of the most sheerly entertaining films of the year. Theatrical experience first, streaming movie second. IMAX is the only acceptable way.
